MOTION LAB
MOTION LAB is Netherlands based annual event curated by Alesya Dobysh with the focus on developing improvisation skills in dancing and deepening artistic research.
During a three-day program, you will be offered both physical and theoretical workshops given by international guest teachers with a variety of artistic backgrounds. At the end of each day, a jam session will allow you to put your newly acquired skills into practice. Accompanied by musicians and DJs, experiment with your new skills alongside other participants. Artists will explore the boundaries between genres and disciplines, such as contemporary dance and street/club dance styles, music and movement, visual and physical, and they will work on the development of their own artistic language.

May 10 FRIDAY
Opening evening, featuring a lecture/presentation by Erik van de Wijdeven titled “Designing Light for Dance” and an experimental performance called “Motus Sonus”. Join us to kick start the weekend, meet new people, and be inspired by artistic experimentation.

14:15-16:15 movement practice with Paris Crossley

17:30 – 18:30 toolbox jam session with live music by Sun-Mi Hong
